How can international youth cooperation create lasting change locally?

How can international youth cooperation create lasting change locally? (Panel Discussion)

29. September 2026, 18:30-19:00

International youth exchanges can have a positive impact not only on the young people taking part, but also on the wider local community. They can bring people and organisations together, encourage cooperation, and create new opportunities for local communities.

Join us for a public talk in Lublin and hear firsthand from a practitioner about how international youth projects can contribute to lasting change at the local level.

Together with our panellists, we will explore:

  • How do communities and institutions benefit from international cooperation?
  • What helps partnerships and networks continue beyond a single project?
  • What role can youth, municipalities and civil society play in creating lasting impact?

Panellists:

  • Agata Cholewa, Department of Civic Participation of the City of Lublin
  • Łukasz Drozd, Cultural Community Centre Bronowice, programme director, coordinator of international youth exchange projects
  • Anna Kudarewska, Krzyżowa Foundation, Director of the International Youth Meeting Centre
  • Agata Wiatr, Sempre a Frente Foundation, Coordinator of the Youth Information and Development Center, youth worker

Whether you are an educator, community leader or policymaker, join us to share perspectives, connect with others and discover how international youth exchange can strengthen local communities.

The public panel takes place in cooperation with the City of Lublin. It is part of the TRIYOU Forum, an event organised by the German-Polish Youth Office in partnership with the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, the Bredbeck Education Centre, and the Bronowice Cultural Community Centre with the kind support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
